Nick’s Kids

This past week Hailey was given the opportunity to represent Children’s Harbor at the Nick’s Kids Charity Event. It was a great honor to be able to support such a wonderful organization as Children’s Harbor. It was also an honor to participate in such a wonderful charity.

For those who don’t know, (most do) Nick Saban, the head football coach at Alabama University, and his wife Terri, have a charity fund raiser that they sponsor every year. This Charity is called, Nicks Kids Fund. The Nick’s Kids Fund gives thousands of dollars to organizations that support and help children in need all over the state of Alabama.

The Children’s Harbor, is an organization that helped Hailey out in ways others couldn’t, during her stay at Children’s Hospital. Hailey was so upset about missing VBS this summer because, she was in the hospital. Well, Children’s Harbor, gave Hailey that opportunity, by hosting VBS at the hospital while Hailey was there. There are so many ways that they help children, and children’s families who are in the hospital. It was an honor to represent them at this event. If you get a chance, check out there site. These are the kids that represented some awesome organizations at this event. If you look closely, you can see Hailey standing at the front in the grey shirt. Seeing all of these wonderful kids really gives a face to the impact that this fund has.

Aside from it being a great opportunity to represent a wonderful organization, I would be lying if I didn’t admit that being Alabama fans made this day that much better. Hailey was thrilled to meet Coach Saban and his wife, as well as getting a signed football, and a t-shirt. She also met the Quarter Back, and Big Al the mascot. This was truly a great experience all around.
